I got the same caller all the time and so many other telemarketers. In order not to be bothered answering these annoying calls, I programmed my Digital Answering Machine like this, first, I stored all of these annoying calls into my phonebook and then, I programmed them with a specific ringtone - which is "RING OFF".  So the next time they call, you will not hear any rings, you will only hear the recorded messages.

After weeks of trying to speak with someone at this number, I finally spoke with a very rude individual who was soliciting for the Toronto Police Association.  I had informed him that his company is breaking numerous rules that apply to the Do Not Call legislation and that we do not want anymore calls.  I then asked him for the name and mailing address of his company's president, which he refused to do.  I advised him that I have already made a complaint against them with the CRTC and that I know what my rights as a consumer are.  He provided me with an 800 number to call for more information.  I called he number provided (1-+1 800-432-9411) and got the following information:

This telemarketing company was hired by the Toronto Police Association.  Their contact info is as follows:

I urge anyone to call the above 800 # to be removed from the list and send follow up correspondence to Mr. Molyneaux voice your concerns over their practices for fundraising.

Yeah he called and asked for Mrs. (my mum's last name) and i said she was out, and then asked for Mr. (my mum's last name) and I told him there's no such person, and could I take a message? and he said "I'm (name...Dave something I think) from Ontario Police Services. I'll call back." and hung up.

I used to just ignore.
Then I started picking up the phone, then hanging up. 10 seconds later they would call again, after 4 rings it stops.
Now I pick up, and just listen to silence, then they hang up after about 15 seconds.
Now I need a horn.
Last year I donated twice to the ONTARIO POLICE ASSOCIATION. Don't know the guys name, but he also calls on behalf of the Fire Dept charity as well as a few more.

All of you are a bunch of complainers!! Man up!Stop hiding everytime the phone rings, and just pick up and tell them to take you off the list.Those guys are a***oles.. but their just doing their job.
