my mother got called again yesterday. The man was asking for money again. Unfortunately my mother in the past had sent some money. I told not if they call again to tell hem to stop bothering her and not call again.

I just tried to call that 800 number and it did not work.  Email this person and say you are going to call your local police department on grouds of harassment. information @ tpa.ca

When they called, they said "the money will go to build better jails with better food" .. VERY pushy people who call... "$15 is the lowest I can go" But if you get angry with them, they will apologize and hang up. I called phone busters about this. The Police Association of Ontario outsources to a call centre in the states to raise funds. It IS a legitimate charity, however I was told only a small portion of your donation goes to the charity, the rest goes to pay the employees at this call centre. sounds like an incredibly stupid fundraising idea to me...

I used to just ignore.
Then I started picking up the phone, then hanging up. 10 seconds later they would call again, after 4 rings it stops.
Now I pick up, and just listen to silence, then they hang up after about 15 seconds.
Now I need a horn.
Last year I donated twice to the ONTARIO POLICE ASSOCIATION. Don't know the guys name, but he also calls on behalf of the Fire Dept charity as well as a few more.
