Call from this number is becoming a nuisance

this is a brand new phone number that I just activated.

i got similar calls form two different companies 2 hours apart...

both numbers appear  on this site

i called this one back on the displayed number and the person who answered refused to disclose the nature of the call and attempted to extract personal info from me. She did say the name of the company was Global.

"Global Credit" Apparently affiliated with Rogers Cable.. It's a scam.. every message is the same.. they say they are looking for "Mr Robitar"  We did call back with our reference #, they knew partially the name of the owner of the household but part of it was wrong.  Lady claimed..  "We are not a telemarketing company" but when googled info later, found out they try to scam people saying you owe them money, etc...  They call our house at least 3 times a day.. and says "Ontario" on the call display

95-413-8753   keeps calling my number leave a strange reather odd voice recording message that really cann't understand who they want  stop calling unless you can talk properly

I received several calls from these guys..When I called back to find out what these guys wanted,I was told that I had an old credit card bill that I never paid. When I looked into it, it turns out that they were right (oops!).  I was able to settle my account for half the amount owing.

Received two calls from (905) 413-8753 so far today. I let it go to voicemail and they left NO message.  |I waited ten minutes, completely blocked my own house line number and called the number that I'd seen on my call display.  At first she refused to identify the company I had reached and I have to say she was clever enough to think I'd respond if she asked the number I was calling from so she could " be of the best assistance".  Seriously?  I finally just said look, you're asking for my information....who ARE you?  Her words: "Global and we're a collection agency.  If you want your number removed from our records we need your number; if you refuse to give you number you'll just receive more and more calls" - which is going to be difficult to spam me on purpose since she really doesn't have my number. And btw, Global if you're reading this you've just admitted to harassment which is now documented and ready for court if you don't leave the public alone.
