I didn't know how to read the comments for this number until after I submitted the above lengthy comment. However, reading Rick's comment, I do have dealings with CitiFinancial. I recently fell one payment behind - mere forgetfulness, and I took care of this yesterday. The timing of these calls definitely fits with the possibility that CitiFinancial is behind them. That possibility will be seem much more likely if - now I have brought my account up-to-date - the calls stop.

answered a call on my home phone from this number and was told I was late with a payment. I have no loan with the company indicated.

This number and the number 1-(905) 361-4635 called me regularly for weeks about 6 or 7 months ago. Then the calls, for no reason I can see, stopped coming. They started again about 2 or 3 weeks ago. According to the call history on my cell phone, 15 of 60 phone calls (this includes incoming and outgoing) over the past two weeks have been from one of these two numbers. I never answer these calls, and the caller never leaves a message. I phoned both these numbers to see what would happen, and received a busy signal.
I have listed these numbers in my cell phone contact list and have identified them there as "Spam 1" and "Spam 2". I have chosen the same ring tone for both - a ring tone I use for no other contacts - so I can tell when they are calling.

This number has been calling my cell for over two weeks will call 3X to 4X.I have answered 5X,telling them that I am not the person they are looking for,continue to call.

This is  citi financial number. They are calling because you either owe them money on an account or because there is an issue with your account that needs attention. It is an automated dialing service and half the time they don't even answer when you say hello. I've resorted to just blocking their number. They are a pain in the as*...

I get calls from this number sometimes up to 4x daily. Today, someone stayed on the phone long enough to say hello on my voicemail (and the call didn't even register on my call display), the third time they called, I made it to the phone and a woman said hello then dispoed the call. I called the number back and just got a fast busy signal! What is that supposed to mean???
