they call all the time, and I'm on the do not call list. even if they offered a viable service or product, i would never do business with these scumbags. economic boycott is the answer for almost all problems...RBC will find out soon enough

I got a call from (905) 323-3900 and called it back and listened to a recorded msg that this is a call center and someone from this # called for a service regarding to me....so obviously this # is used from a call center somewhere for general calls of all kinds of service to people all over North America or even Worldwide.

Hey Transcom, I'm calling your bluff on your information! I've gotten these calls daily for over a year now, and every single time I answer, the caller disconnects. The Do-Not-Call list only applies if the call recipient does not have a relationship with the company you're calling on behalf of, you're info is correct there....but using the basis that incoming calls are costing me $ on my MTS invoices and the caller disconnecting thus indicates the calls aren't pertinent to any business relationship, I've gotten an attorney to pursue legal action in compliance with CRTC guidelines and Canadian privacy laws.
Don't call Transcom back....that's simply verifying your phone number for them! Grab an attorney for a half hour and talk it out,,,,you'll be quite surprised what your options are (depending of course, on where you are)! Someday, some attorney will grab onto the class-action aspect and Transcom's not gonna be happy (hopefully the one I have is that one ;)

Dear Starr,I just want to make sure I understand your justification of your job and what you feel your employer is doing (to deserve multiple blogs bashing them for how they do business something to be proud of!?). Basically what you've said is that we've (the public) chosen to do one type of business with company a. Company b decides they will TRY to make they're profit based on my interest in company a. The public would be much more responsive to these calls if we were not harassed in the process. You would have actual success if you called people who welcomed such calls. If you would have properly asked if we're interested in getting calls about your company, then I could understand - happily call away as much as you want. But if you've hidden this in the mass amounts of fine print the public is already subjected to by waaay too many slimy companies, all you've done is trick us (the public) into "agreeing" for company b to phone us from a blocked number on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. You didn't get our permission in a normal, ethical, and straight forward way. The number should be clearly identified when you call. We should have to write on a blog to help each other like this if we actually asked for these calls, would we? You seem very self righteous when you write....you work for one of the many companies who are using loop holes and slimey sales tactics. I love how you try to make it seem like we asked for the harassment. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be calling it harassment then.

I get several calls from this number each week. I would like the calls to cease and desist

"Be careful though, because if you deal with any of our clients for inbound customer service, tech support etc. and you call, and we are disconnected, then we will not be able to call you back, even if it is life and death and you needed vital information, we can't call you because you asked to be put on the Transcom Do Not Call list"
It's a pity Bullsh*tting isn't an olympic sport because you could b***s*** for Canada! Puulease, stop drinking your own bathwater, get a pair of long pants and perhaps get a job that possibly has an iota of something socially redeeming! Perhaps finishing grade 10 would be an asset for you. I would be delighted to speak to one of your operators but they don't appear to have the balls to say anything to which one could respond. Life or death my arse! Vital information? F**k off .... eh!

why won't these morons leave a message,if they want to get in touch don't leave unknown caller

I work for Nucomm International - now owned by and known as Transcom North America. I only ever worked in an outbound department once, for a brief time, to inform customers of a price increase before it took effect and find out if they accepted the new charges or not. (Usually I take inbound calls.) Believe it or not, they do not make unsolicited calls. While you may not have heard of them, you've probably heard of Cogeco, Comcast, Nestle, Nissan, Culligan, and a host of other companies that hire Nucomm to handle their call center needs. If you are contacted by this number, it is because you 1) opted to recieve information or take a survey from one of those companies and Nucomm is doing the follow-up, 2) you requested a call-back regarding an issue you had with a company and Nucomm is calling you back to help you with the issues you were experiencing, 3) you receive services from a company and Nucomm is attempting to contact you on behalf of that company to let you know about a change to the services you're receiving, (and they want to inform you before the changes take effect) or, 4) it is because you have services with a company and owe them money, and Nucomm is attempting to collect on their behalf. If you would like to stop receiving calls from them, you can either call back the 905 # and go to the do not call option, or if the information was time sensitive and you have an answering machine they will leave a toll-free, 1-800 call-back #; where you can both get the information you were being called about and request to be placed on their do-not call list, at which point you will be asked if you are requesting to be placed on the do not call list of the company Nucomm was working for when they called you as well. This would ensure that you are no longer contacted by any other call center working for that company, either. Nucomm is a 100% legitimate company that contacts you on behalf of the companies you use, and answers your calls when you contact those companies. According to Canadian law, their reps are required to state that they work for Nucomm (now Transcom) on messages, rather than the company they are calling for, since they are a third party. If you are contacted repeatedly it is only because the company Nucomm is working for requested that they make sure you receive the information they are trying to convey, and they have not yet successfully done so. They cannot legally leave a detailed message about the reason for their call in a lot of cases, because according to privacy laws they must make sure information is passed to the intended recipients, and no one else. This is also the reason they will ask you security questions - yes, they are contacting you, but they need to make sure that they are speaking with the correct person before giving the information they are calling about. It is unfortunate that it comes across as a possible scam or being deliberately vague to some people. It is actually the other way around - they have extremely tight security, and are very hyper-sensitive about respecting privacy laws and rights. If you read the article posted almost at the bottom of this comment list, about this # and scams, it explains that the company is legit. Hope this helps!
