They scamed me for $4000.00

Yea

So all of you are pretty much correct, it's a scam the company does illegal things and easily tricks people out of THOUSANDS of dollars, I know from personal experience. I hope more people are reading these forums so they know that when they get a call they either, threaten to call the police, call the police or come in with the police. What they are doing isn't right, they've already been sued once, but that clearly wasn't enough because they are still at it and as of my concern they are trying to make the company bigger.

Thank you so much for your comments. I got the call this morning... and was given the same story as George, LG, Lynn....
(905) 754-5163 Ext: 112
6175 Hwy 7
Unit 6
Woodbridge
L4H 0P6
Hwy 7 & 27 Major Intersection.

I got the same story that we must have entered a ballot in April ...  a long time ago...at one of the popular malls of course you don't remember. It was a long time ago. Company is Premium Incorporated website is www.pbcinc.ca. No obligation no presentation is the sales pitch. They say that all you need to do is bring 2 pieces of photo and name ID give it to the receptionist with the gift claim number that the Sr. manager-- Whose name by the way is Paul Stevens... has given you and  you'll be shown the 5 prizes mentioned above you'll draw for one and you'll be given the prize. No hassle no problem. He said it could take anywhere from half an hour to 90 minutes... totally up to you. Refreshments will be served.

They try to legitimize their pitch by "reading you the back of the ballot"-- Married?- Between the ages of 27-65?- Address ?-- well they gave an old address of which we had not lived in for 9 months. And they didn't know my first name.. weird... and the last name they had didn't match the name registered to the phone company. Someone is selling info to these companies. Outdated info at that.

Thanks for saving me the trip to Woodbridge. We could withstand the presentation and tactics but I have a better way to spend my Saturday Morning... without the pressure and threats. In peace. Website is vague, and I couldn't find anything on the Better Business Bureau website. Thank you for putting in the time to make comments here. This is a scam because we know that we make a point of not entering into any contests at malls. And we wouldn't want any of these varied prizes... Furniture... trip to Niagara Falls...Laptop...1500$ cash.

Same thing happened to us. We just came back from the "gifting ceremony". We were there from 6:45 till 9 pm. We were paired with a representative for 20 minutes, making small talk, asking us about our vacation history etc. Then followed a 30 minute presentation, followed by buffet dinner. They refused to give us the price of the membership. We ate beforehand and thus chose to have a smoke break instead (the representative was a little nervous as she probably thought we were going to leave LOL).

We came back and were sat at the table with the rep who presented us with a folded sheet, that outlined all the deals. When she unfolded the paper it finally showed the price... - $21000! for 49000 points for 49 years. Holly crap! We refused.

The rep got up and was replaced by one intimidating dude in glasses, hands covered in jewelry and an apparent "coke finger". He dismissed our concerns over the huge expense - again, $21000 at 21% interest! That's $1500 paid on the spot, followed by $580/month for 60 months. Insanity. We refused.

The dude left and was replaced by one of the seminar presenters. She acted very nice and understanding, i.e "boy, do I know how you feel! That's a lot of cash! So I want to offer you a better deal. Only $7999 for 25000 points for 49 years. And I will talk to Damian (the intimidating dude) and get you 0% financing for the first 24 months." Bla-bla-bla. We stepped aside to deliberate. It sounded good but... we were hesitant.

We came back and refused. The lady was replaced by another guy - "from the corporate office" - who offered us $4800 package for 5 years with only 10 weeks of vacation. We refused.

Then ANOTHER guy showed up and slashed that offer in half to $2800. We refused and they swiftly sent us away to the "prize claim room." We picked a ticket from a raffle box. The numbers did not match the top 5 prizes that they advertise. thus we were given a choice of either a week at Cancun or Orlando. We picked Orlando ($14 processing fee). We will use the trip within a year and will let you know whether we had to sit through another seminar in Florida! LOL

Alex is right - the earlier comments re Premium Buyers Club are themselves a scam.  The bad spelling and grammar are a common give away.
