Did u actually have magazines? Because I actually do lots of them. I never signed up for them and got a call today saying exact same thing. Hopefully I don't get screwed!

I fell for something like this back in December eventually I got a form showing my "bill" it had a number and I was able to call them and cancel and I got my money back.  However, they kept calling me saying that it "wasn't cancelled" and I was still to receive my magazines.  Fortunately I have not had anything pulled from my bank account since and I just block or ignore the calls.  They change numbers frequently.  I hope you get a form like I did.  Good luck.

This guy called and tried to get me to renew a magazine subscription I supposedly signed up for three months ago. He would not give me the other company information and I asked for his id number and he said he didn't have one then I asked for his name and he told me Chris...I asked Chris what and he told me he does not give that out. I asked to speak to a supervisor after aguing with him telling him I would not agree to a subscription to anything. He told me he does not have a supervisor and I was going to get charged at midnight tonight and a collection company would call me. Then as I was getting the information for "Readers Service" he was rude and hung up on me. This number is a scam.

I was just called from this company earlier today, claimed they are Reader Supplies. They claimed that I was at the start of a 20 month magazine subscription, And they have been getting complaints the magazines were arriving damaged, so he asked if mine had arrived in good condition and when I said no he verified my address which was actually an old address as we had moved and I wouldn't give him the new one. He said his name was Chris and he'd only been working there 2 days. He proceeded to ask me if I'd like to speak to a supervisor and to verify needed my b-day. Gave it to him, literally seemed like he handed the phone to someone else, tried to get the expiration of my card from me, spouted something about federal la w BS, and I asked again what their company name was, he told me then said 'but that won't do you any good' and when I spelled it out for him to double check I heard them right his response: 'Oh good you can spell'. I hung up. I'm nightly doubtful that my card will be charged tonight for an amount they never stated.

If you can get their address, send them a certified letter that you are canceling as you never agreed to it to begin with.  Let them know that you will notify the BBB and the police.  Keep the letter for your records in the event that they attempt to turn it over to collections.  They somehow buy your information, usually from a magazine you have a subscription to.  Then they call to see how you like it and tell you that you have to pay xx amount of money for 5 years.  They also seem to have a lot of false numbers which they call out from.  If I don't recognize a number I don't answer and when I get a lot of calls from the same number I block the call.

i keep getting numerous calls from these people. atleast 3 a day if not more. every time i call back it says the number is not in service. i usually miss the call anyway but i just caught it now and they said theyre for a magazine company and my subscription was going to expire and did i want my credit card on file to be charged. i told them im on the no call list and this is illegal and i dont have a cc any way so whatevers on file isnt mine. they said can i have your birthdate to pull up your account i said no, and i said again i dont have a cc so she was like ok well just charge the card at midnight and hung up on me
