Scam

Scary!! Didn't answer such weird number just called out of a blue!!! especially right now Boston is in an intense mood!!! God

I just recieved a call from this number 1-800-000-0000and they said that is was about a magazine I subscribe to (which I do) but the last time I did this by phone they stole 50.00 dollars from my checking account. So this time I was more than aware, for one the magazine I subscribe to isn't up for renewel for a while. This guy said that it was up very soon and wanted to know how I would like to pay for it, would I like to use the same credit account I used before? and would I like to pay 3 payments of 19.95 or a one time payment. Of course this time I told them what they could do and how they had ripped me off before. He said oh no that couldn't have been us ( never did get the name, Darn it) but he said he would send me a renewl statement in the mail that will say something Publisher then Hung up on me. I then called my magaine provider as in on the label of said magazine and talked to them and of course it was not them calling because I do not have a renewel coming for quite a long time. So thats why I looked up this number on the internet to see if there were any complaints about it. Thanks for listening, Ooooooh I am so mad I didnt get the name but maybe they will be stupid enough to send the info in the mail anyway :) they actually sent something the first time so maybe I'll get lucky and then post it here and everywhere else I can think of so that it doesn't happen to others ! Thanks again :)

Continue to receive calls at work from the 800-000-0000; phone rings, employee answers, dial tone; but yesterday, was asked for my name which the caller (male) already knew and after commenting on my phone voice, offered me a new car. ?Really!!!  First thing said was he was updating our files, but wouldn't give a company name.  There needs to be some legal recourse for this -- we're trying to work here and this number is a registered "do not call" which evidently "does not help."

I let the call roll over to voice mail.  I received the tail end of a message (male voice)  "...thank you very much."

I get daily calls from this number, and they never leave a voice mail.So much for the do not call registry....
