This phone number maybe spoofed, but it's from a debt reduction services announcement, which blahs blahs, press 9 to be removed...

I received a call from this number this afternoon. Though I wasn't sure who was calling, I pressed the "Receive" button on my fax machine. BTW, I'm told that pressing * repeatedly will mess up the robo-caller. Does that really happen?

I received the same call yesterday and have been receiving it almost daily for weeks. It's funny how they say they want to fix my credit card debt when I don't even have a credit card lol. I 411-ed the number and it shows up as a Paula Belanger of Fort Mcmurray

The reason you are getting the call in spite of being on the DNC list is because this is a scammer. The reason the phone number shows up as it does, is that the caller I.D. has been hacked so it reads that. It may or may not be someone's current number. That could be an old listing.
I got the same call as you but I have a Sherwood Park number. I pressed 1 and let it run through. They aren't even putting a real person on the line, they just keep playing a recorded message and asking you to press 1 and leave a message if you are interested. They claim that pressing 3 (or 9 at the end will take you off their calling list) but I doubt it does anything at all. They'll be back.
Anyone who deal with these people is a fool. Even if they give a legitimate company name that you can check on the internet, that doesn't mean that that is who you are actually talking to. NEVER do business with someone who solicits you by phone or email!

I keep getting calls from this number with an automated message asking if I am afraid to open my credit card statement each month. The number shows up on my phone as K. Caines, which comes across as a personal phone number and searches show this person as being in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Since when do robocalls come from a personal line? I am registered with the National Do Not Call list in Canada but that does not seem to help all that much.
