Called at 6:07pm.  Man on the phone with a thick accent claimed to be calling from Bell Mobility and that my number had been selected to receive a free cell phone.  "Is that okay?" he asked? I said no thank you and he hung up.

I got a call from this number this evening from a guy saying he's from Bell Mobility. He said that he has a free cell phone for me & that it should take about 3-5 business days for me to receive it in the mail. I asked him if he said he was from Bell Mobilty (his English was not very good... thick accent) and he got very loud & defensive, saying that he said at the beginning of the conversation that he was from Bell, and why would he say that he was from Bell if he wasn't?I didn't like his tone & I knew it was a scam, as the caller ID said "Ramada".... if I had more time I would have strung him along but I just hung up on him.

Correct. It is the Ramada Hotel. It is one of the cheapest spots for tele-marketing, hookers, long lost friends and sometimes just plain interesting folk.....Not bad rooms, and no credit card ID needed...hence the 'random' calls....

This is the Ramada in Edmonton. Why they call, I don't know. I think it is someone staying there trying to sell stuff. Didn't give him the chance to say. Just said sorry I'm not buying anything
