This is my experience for one of the most dirtiest buildings in Edmonton, I have rented an apartment in this building for more than one year, the building is very dirty, bed bugs and cockroaches in most apartments, very old building, very dirty stairs, people taking drugs there, elevator stops working every two weeks, they stop it for 2 or 3 days until they fix it, sometimes 4 to 5 days elevator is stopped for no good reason.
Manager did not pay back my deposit which is $500, I have no damages in my apartment but manager is not a good person, he is an Indian guy and very rude, some people working there have criminal records and have been arrested by police but they came back to work again there, manager is aware of their arrest, problems in washrooms, plumper is not qualified person, false fire alarm starts every two weeks or so, police usually goes there every two weeks for a problem by one of tenants
Never ever rent this place
I was NOT aware of all these problems and was rushed to find apartment for my family, so, I chose it because time was not enough to find other choices, rent was almost $1000 for our unfurnished apartment.
I been stuck here with my family. Dealing with now cockroaches third floor had them worse but they only sprayed three units. Now rest of building has these things crawling around. Nothing has changed even with new management. Cost of rent costs even more now and isn’t worth it even with the cheap renovations. Cheap cheap renovations especially flooring and Paul the maintenance guy can’t be trusted.
