Compassion
More often than not people who cannot honor their commitments (pay their bills) find themselves in circumstances that were not anticipated. Comments like the one above "pay your debts" or Collection Agencies trying to put people down for not paying are not helpful. People making these types of comments need to get a life. Hopefully these type of people someday suffer financial stress or circumstances which cause them to struggle with meeting obligations. Hopefully they get harrassed and feel the pain/stress they cause others. Shame on people who have this attitude and make comments as such and they really don't have the facts! Feel sorry for "collection agents" who obviously are not educated enough or experienced enough to get a real job and thus spend their days trying to inflict more stress on people over debts! There is lots of information on how "stress" causes illness and kills...Collection agents don't seem to care of the impact they can have on people's health etc! People who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances should not feel less of themselves! Heck even Donald Trump has filed bankruptcy how many times.. and he certainly doesn't think less of himself nor does anyone else!
Block using Vonage & Google Voice
I block the calls by routing it to Google Voice, which has unlimited per-call blocking and redirection to a voice message saying the number is no longer in service.
The first time they call, I have their number. The next time they call, the number is blocked.
"Good" numbers are forwarded to a number no one knows except me.
With Google Voice (a free service) calls can also have a customized message depending on their number, or a general category they are placed in. Repeat callers you can play back the sound of an airhorn to welcome them.
The catch is, Google Voice is "not available" in Canada, so the initial registration process you need to use a IP spoofer like Hide-My-IP and make it look like you are accessing the service from someplace in the U.S. You also need a U.S. telephone number (use vonage.ca or Toktumi.com to get one. This costs a few dollars per month). Thereafter, you can use your Google GMail account to check your voice messages
Google also does automatic text transcription, not as good as Apple Siri though.

any advise here???
just called me too. 4 times in a row I
made me drop the call I was on..believe its for Telus.
Any advise here;
I suspended my account for 7months, (zero minutes used!) I explained my situation to Telus and they said thats fine don't worry and promissed credits / adjustments..
So ultimatly I never recived my adjustments and now collections are calling for a large amonut, which was wrongfully billed out !
I have explained my situation with the 'Metropolitan Credit Adjustors" and they are only interested in a settlement of partial amount "owed" !
How do I protect my credit from this BS??
