Got this call tonight. It was around 8 PM. No one spoke but a lot of noise in the backround

Keep receiving calls from this number...no one says anything!!!! Pretty stupid

Get calls from this # several times a day. Thanks to all who wrote on this site, I now know not to answer. I am on both national and state "Do Not Call List", for what good that does. I wish you could block a number on telephone calls like you can on e-mail carriers.

They are located in EN block 35,4th floor,walzen tower,opp. hotel east palace,sector 5 near webel crossing salt lake sector 5.Plz conduct raids between 10 to 12 pm in nights or frm 1 am to 3am informing Us n Uk embassies along with cyber specialist and police..what they do is call Us n uk citizens frm numbers of seatlle washington sitting n calcutta by name of i secure vap and hav e a vaptech comnpany named in kolkata .then they tell to open run box pressing windows key+R AND WHEN RUN BOX APPEARS THEY TELL EVENTVWR TO BE TYPED INSIDE THE RUNBOX AND CLICK OK...AFTER THAT AN EVENTVWR PAGE COMES AND ON LEFT SIDE OF EVENTVWR(LOCAL) THERE WOULD BE CUSTOM VIEWS JUST BELOW IT..THEN THEY TELL TO DOUBLE CLICK ON CUSTOM VIEWS OR OTHER OPTION THEN THEY WILL TELL TO CLICK ON ADMINISTRATIVE EVENTS ON MIDDLE OF PAGE THEN ERRORS,WARNINGS COMES THAT IS DEFAULT AND WILL HARASS AND FEAR CUSTOMERS SAYING THAT THIS IS VIRUS ,MALWARES AND MIGHT CRASH YOUR COMPUTER WHICH IS ACTUALLY NT AND FORCE THEM TO USE AMMYADMIN OR TEAM VIWER TO HACK THEIR COMPUTERS AND ACCES THEIR CREDIT CARDS THEREAFTER..TOTAL SCAM ARREST N CLOSE THIS COMPANY...ABHISHEK SURANA.VARUN KEJRIWAL AND JOSEPH BADIYA IMMEDATE ARREST BAST*RDS!

I received the same call from 708-409-4786 tonight.  The man had such a heavy accent I had to keep asking him to repeat what he was saying.  I asked him to spell out the company he worked for and he said ISecure VAP. He said my computer was infected with a malicious virus and wanted to know if I was sitting in front of my computer.  I asked him why and he said there was a server I was attaching to that had been infected and about 75% of the computers using that server were infected. I asked what the IP address of the server was.  He said he just wanted to let me know that this was happening and what I could do to take care of it....if I would just log into my PC. I told him my PC was already secure and he said that no current anti-virus software would help this problem. I asked whether or not he was selling a type of security software ; whether or not he worked for MicroSoft and he said he did not, but they could help me with my problem.  I told him that I am an IT Specialist and know how to protect my PC and then I heard 'click'...... he finally hung up!!!  DO NOT give these people any information about yourself or let them convince you to log into your computer!!!

I got the same rude man who told me he was working at Windows. I told him to remove me from his caller list and he emphatically said "NO! I WON'T DO THAT!"  So, I asked again why he was calling and after playing some mind games with him, he hung up.   A suggestion:    Just say you don't own a computer!

Same here. An Indian man with a very heavy accent--named David Smith(haha)--said he was calling from the 'Computer Technology Dept' because there was s problem with my pc. My response: "really? Goodbye", and I hung up. Any way to report this so unsuspecting people aren't duped?

Man with heavy accent said he was calling from IN but Caller ID said Alberta. Said name of company several times but I couldn't understand him. He insisted that my computer was sending him error messages and was going to crash; he needed me to go to my computer so he could walk me thru the repair steps. I told him to email it to me since he has all my info, and hung up. Does anyone really fall for this?
