I got call from this # (778) 785-4596... who is this , i go to china tonight

Got a call on Oct. 1st at 6 pm. Told me I won 2600 travel dollars and to press 1 for claim. I stayed on the line and got disconnected.I'm on DNC list since last year. According to Canadian telemarketer rules this call is against the rules, regardless of whether you're on DNC list or not. I received an unsolicited call from this number in violation of the National Do Not Call List regulations.  I hit 1 and spoke to a heavily-accented agent who repeatedly mumbled the name of the company- it sounded a bit like "American Eagle Vacations".  I told them they were in violation of the DNC registry, that I would report them, and that they must immediately remove my number from their listings.  Then, I reported them on the DNC website.  Don't forget the importance of reporting telemarketers who violate the DNC list!

got call on cellphone, was curious so i went to a payphone and called it back (in case it was someone for real - i am from BC). And got that travel dollars message AND i pressed one becuase it was from a payphone anyways.Then it told me to hold. and then after5 seconds it disconnected........

Got the call on my cell today from (778) 785-4596.  I only get calls from work/family and friends.  I am not on the do not call list, but answered this as I'm from the 778 area code, thinking it was family.  Won 2600 travel points.  Didn't press one like it told me to.  I phoned it back and just stayed on the line hoping to confuse it.  I hate telemarketers, they are a waist of life.
