I just received an automated message from (778) 421-2664 saying that because I'm a valued Rogers customer I'm being offered 3000 travel miles, "press 1 to accept".

I then hung up.

No one click on that link! You will get a VIRUS!

The call ID said British Columbia, the area code was not. I did not answer and there was no msg. I have an unlisted "solo" mobile phone. I'm not a canadian tire, telus, or rogers customer.

Received call at 9pm. Didn't answer as was on phone with friend at time.

...the person wasn't a telemarketer, he was a criminal trying to defraud you.  Hence not taking a hint and being abusive to you.

...the criminal organisation that called you is "spoofing" their number to disguise where they are calling from.
