Defiantly scammers trying to get my information. Said my visa was suspected of being used and that I should hold to give my information. I don't even have a visa!

This is a fraudulent computer scam company in Delhi India trying to drum up $$$. Yours. The accent is East Indian. They call over and over to harass you.

Today I received a call from (778) 323-0323. It appears some service providers are using a local (BC) number to channel long distance call. This particular call was from a relative in UK and I spoke to him, but the display was this local number

I got a call from this number this afternoon. A fast-speaking lady (like a radio DJ) congratulated me on making a final list for their cruise draw, but made it sound like I already won. She knew my full name, address, email, date of birth. She wanted to tell me more details but only if my husband was around, which he was not. Foolishly I gave her his first name and what time he would be home so she could call again so both of us could hear the exciting details. When I said 6.30 she said "Oh, then it's 9.30 our time" (why does an Eastern caller have a local number?)
After she hung up I googled this number and found this site. I also found out that this number is a way for Skype users to call land lines. I tried calling back this number but it was not valid. Same when I dialed 1 first as a long distance number. The caller id says the number and "Restricted" where the name should be.
She never called back of course, and now she knows my husband's name and what time they can reach him. Thankfully I didn't give them any other info, and if they use my info, I will just deal with it the same way I deal with everyday junk mail, unwanted calls and spam - recycle, hang up, delete!
I'm savvy about scams in general, but this sounded pretty legit at first because they didn't ask me to pay a prize tax, or pay something upfront, or ask for my credit card number. Hopefully everybody knows this too.
I don't enter contests often so the only place I can think of how they got my info was when I tried to enter a contest to win and iPhone 4 from www.canadianprizes.com. I entered my info and discovered that I had to answer a series of surveys. I accidently replied 'yes' to a work-at-home info request (a result of which I received numerous phone calls yesterday) but replied no to other requests for product/service info. I was annoyed but decided to finish the survey anyway, but then the final 'submit' button wouldn't click to enter the draw. That's when I gave up and exited the site, but they probably retained my contact info... sneaky bastards.
That's why I'm posting this... beware!!!

me too....unknown call first, then (778) 329-0323. THis after reading ond postin for (778) 329-0324. Just got off the phone with Project Phone Busters. They think there is something up with this also and are looking into it. Call them @ 1-+1 888-495-8501 or visit their site @ www.phonebusters.com
I also called Bell, and there is nothing they can do. (note if you reverse cell phone lookup, it states it is a "LAND LINE".
Be CAREFULL!!! I did not answer the (778) 329-0323 as I already new about that number just a couple hours earlier.
