Caller, this time a woman with a questionable east Indian accent, claimed to be from Bell Mobility; apparently I was being offered a free cell phone. A few months ago a man tried this same SCAM (different phone #); they want your birth date, address, and social insurance number. A report was made to Phone Busters and Bell Mobility. FYI, all Bell employees must give you their employee number.

They have been calling several times for the last few days, no voice contact, however when someone finally spoke, there was so much static on the line, I couldn't hear them and they hung up!

I have received 2 calls from this number today even though I have a Do Not Call number but I did not answer it.  It's interesting that Wised Up wrote that the caller claimed to be calling from New Jersey because the 705 area code is in Ontario and includes Barrie and surrounding area.

This phone number is involved with a scam stating that you have won a pre-activated Samsung Clio cell phone. The caller claims to be from Bell, has your address (scary), and asks for your birth date and social insurance number because they would not like this phone, worth $369, to be delivered to the wrong person! Caller had an Indian accent, claimed to be Sean Johnson, calling from New Jersey; a supervisory contact number 646-4996-9858 was provided. Information requested was not provided, yet caller phoned back 6 days later.

Got a call from them at 1:55 am.  Recorded messages that said "hello, hello yes".  Hung up!
Not winning a cell phone at 2am that's for sure.
