This No. is calling the B.C. area this morning
purporting to be from Royal bank attempting to sell a program agst identity theft as well as monitoring your credit reports. He was asking for an address to send the application form and maybe a creditcard No. in order to do the monthly debit after the first 3 month-trial. I hung up on him & inform RBC

Ignore/Block these calls. They offer Fraud protection from an outside source but say theyre with RBC.If you're interested in Fraud protection and identity theft protection deal with RBC directly and they'll get you sorted out, don't even answer the phone for these jokers.

I got the call from Famtel (902) 442-7646) on behalf of RBC, a well trained and fast speaker person trying to sale insurance service against identity theft by sending periodic credit reports, first 30 days free and then 7$/month charged to my credit card. He wanted me to give my full name, address and date of birthday. I refused and let him go.

Even if is legit you better stay away of this non-solicited services.
You'll be better off requesting the free reports directly to:
www.equifax.ca
www.transunion.ca

I just got off the phone with RBC card services and the lady there confirmed this IS A SCAM. They are not affiliated with RBC in ANY WAY.  Don't give them any info.
