Finally answered their call after they had been calling for several months! They wanted very personal information and address info, so I hung up on them! If they call me one more time, I will report them to the National Do Not Call List and maybe even police! If they are who they say they are, my personal health information is protected under the Personal Health Information Protection Act in Ontario and they are not permitted to access my health information!!!

tell your mp because if they know anyhting they would be telling you to do they survey and if they tell you anything eles then your mp doesnt know anything and may be i should not have to be waisting my tax dollars on your mp. do your home work and look at there goverment of canada web sit

I was called many times from this number, I did get a message on my machine that was very generic, when I called to find out what it was about, I was given ways to confirm thier identity, and what the survey was about, the nice lady let me know about the different types of surveys that they do out of that office, and how I was selected, I personally was chosen based on my address for a survey that they call LFS (Labour Force Survey) she directed me to the web address (statcan.gc.ca) and told me to look at < information for participant> link, she also told me that I was mailed something, when I went thru my recyle box, vola, it was there, I think those who just get mad at a number calling and do not bother finding out what it was is about and just google a number should get more informed instead of mad. Some of the greatest ways of getting even are getting informed, ask questions

Mine started when I signed onto the HRDC Job Bank with a resume to try and find a job, only did it yesterday and the calls started at nine fifteen tonight. Call or email your local MP or Sun Media and tell them you think millions are being spent on people conducting these calls. Bad enough they stop refunds on your tax return now and claim interest while deciding if you qualify or not but this too with the monthly mail outs they plan for refunds as opposed to one rebate in the Spring is costing millions in more paperwork and monthly administration fees. Money badly spent... Time to make your MP's work for you both Federal and Provincial, there is also a link to the PM on the internet have everyone write to him he has to answer and perhaps if enough people do it Government will realize it's a waste of time and money.

Yes They are calling at all hours!  Finaaly left a message but with no detail what so ever except to call.  The number is long distance for me (1-705) and why would I call when I have no idea what it the call is about.SUGGESTION if you want people to repond.  LEAVE A DETAILED MESSAGE!  That what a message machine is for.  I know if it is a legitament call I will respond even if it is Stat's Canada.

I have recevied numerous calls from this number in the past couple of months. I would never answer it, I thought well if it's the health survey I'll need to take at least 30 min out of my busy work day to answer their boring questions. So one night after they had left numerous messagess to call them back I reluctetly answered the phone. When this guy on the phone found out my age he said abruptly well the rest of this survey has to be completed by my son. I told him my son works late and is usually sleeping. He said I don't make these rules the computer does. They have phoned me to the point it's harassment now. Two nights ago this woman from this number phones me and I told her my son isn't home and too stop harassing me. She said well I'm going to phone untill I talk to your son. What a load of crap.

brian,,stats can cant leave a detailed message about why they are calling they might not have the correct number or peron to talk to
they leave a call back number for a householder member to call and after a few verifying question to make sure they do have the correct person then they will tell you what it is about

it would not be good if for some reason they left a detailed message about you on some one elses machine with personal info about you or such
that is why they dont do that
you simply have to call and see , but you will get only a receptionist or voice service , just simply leave case id# and your number some one will call you back they do not take any incoming calls to there desk for security reason , it very high security there
