Call purporting to reduce interest on MasterCard

said they were calling from Visa Credit Card Services....had all my info...asked about my MasterCard...had that info too...I became suspicious....manager said his name was Shawn Stevens #8002...said I was selected to receive a reduced interest rate to 6.99%.....both TD and BMO are issuing me new credit cards and I have put an alert on Equifax

I don't know anyone in Sault Ste Marie. I refuse to answer calls from unknown numbers.
