We have been getting calls from this number as well. We had to get financing for a vehicle is how they got our phone number because it is an unlisted private phone number. They are very annoying, rude, obnoxius and sometimes they hang up when you do answer the phone, they won't leave a message on voicemail. I just want them off our back for good. I just did a report to the RCMP office in my area and they will be charged with harrassment. I will also be blocking their number.

It is a collection agency. CBV, in Toronto.Just so everyone knows, & this will piss off the collection agents: by Federal Law, a collection agency has the power to "Ask You to pay your bill and offer assistance in setting up a payment schedule" That is all. 1) they are never allowed to call you at your place of employment for any reason. 2) they can not, under any circumstances, harrass you into payment, by phone, mail or in person & they may not threaten you or your credit standing in any way. 3) You do not have to deal with a collection agency at any time. You are only obligated to deal with the original creditor, even if the agency has bought the account from them. You do not have to deal with them. 4) a collection agency can not put negative information on your credit file. 5) so in short... all they can do is "nicely" ask you to pay your bill. But we all know that they generally go way beyond that.If you are having a problem with an agency, call the consumer bureau and report them and if it is a serious harrassment issue, or call at your place of employment, contact the police and file charges. These are federal laws that they must follow, but most offen do not and will push it to the limit. Yes, several collectors have been fired and / or charged under these laws. Some even jailed. Their employers usually get a fine & tell the authorities they never asked the employee to do that, thus leaving the employee on their own to take the blame. True sharks in every way.If you are having financial issues, & most people do at one point or another in their lives, call a credit councilling service in your area. They are a free service in every province and will assist you. Do not deal with collectors on your own. If you can not afford to pay, the service will understand & work with you, without any judgement toward you, and no credit bruising. The calls stop immediately.

Have been getting 10+ calls/day from this moron.  I have a cell phone that isn't registered in my name and have only given out the number to close friends.  Thus, they are calling a wrong number.  Given that I want to keep my anonymity, contacting any of the agencies regarding these scum is out.  Just wish I could afford to hire a hit man to give these POS a message they could understand.

I get calls from this number daily at 7:30 and 8:00 pm pacific time if this collection agency is based in ontario like the caller ID states it's from York ontario when they call me is 10:30-11pm EST why the hell would they call so LTE if legit they should be closed not harassing people this late at night

Called at 7:04 this morning, gave the guy a blast when I had to ask 3 times who he was to get a rude snotty answer. Never got a reason for his call, cut him off said I was making a call about this call as it is being recorded!!! He hung up on me mid sentence!!!

this is collections and it's SUPER ANNOYING! we got a new phone and the last lady who had our number apparently never paid her bills! this isn't the only company who calls us Grrrr!
