he called me too and left several mssges... after he bugged me so much i finally went to the training and paid 150 and he also took 30 installements for 2 months and i have never went back because its commission based and i just dint find it suitable now ive been calling him and cannot get a hold of him for a refund...
for me it was a TOTAL SCAM.. because i didnt want the job and i didnt want to  work commission but im not leaving it there i willl keep callin until i get a refubd

Primerica solicits as follows:

You post your resume on Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.

They troll the resumes.

They call you.

They leave a voice mail that says something like: "our company is opening a branch office in your area and we were referred to you as a strong candidate for a managerial position." If you call them or speak with them on the phone, they will invariably demurr on the details on the business, and pretty much stay with the vague script wording that they use in their voicemail. They will stay with the "management position for a big important company" schtick.

At this point, having had my time wasted with one of the A-holes once on an in person meeting a few years ago, I bust them. I just say: "are you really representing Primerica". I generally get a sheepish "yeah". I tell them something along the lines of: "SORRY! I have a career, and what you are offering is total crap."  Usually they hang up on me. My fun for the day.

The point is, Primerica doesn't pay a salary, they demand an enrollment fee, they want you to attend their cult training, and they do not go out looking for programmers. It's a financial services MLM pyramid. The "jobs" are commission only sales jobs, and you create your own leads. You are supposed to recruit other Primerica stooges.  Utterly consistent and deceptive recruiting M.O.

Some guy called Tal Grossman from Primerica called me today for "leader" positions for expanding offices. Anyway, he says it's a 2 part process, with 2 interviews, and I feel skeptical about it...

Does anyone know if this is one of those sales scams?

Be very afraid...he gets you to sign a contract and then after you did all the leg work to get a sale if that person decide to not have that insurance anymore after 18 months you HAVE TO GIVE BACK ALL OF YOUR COMMISSION BACK TO HIM....Does that sound like a huge scam or what.  I got caught don't be the next victim.  After working for a 1 year for him I got myself in a huge debt pit and still working my way out of it after 3 years away from it.

Baba! We know who you are!!  All your life you've been counting the blacksheep and asking "have you any wool?"  Who makes money selling wool?  You obviously were a lousy salesperson!  Who gets into debt in sales?  In fact, that's impossible you silly fool.  If you sell a product and are paid to do so, if that consumer returns it, the money made needs to be returned too.  Let's take a look at a store like Winners - where you buy your clothes Baba.  If Winners sells a shirt and two weeks later the consumer is unhappy with the product does Winners return the money?

I've worked for Primerica, but because of out-of-province school obligations have had to take time off.  For all those wasting time reading this, there are no contracts to sign.  Primerica Financial Services is the company that advances the funds (if you're hired on the sales side), not the representatives.

Unfortunately, people like "Baba" (who should have called himself Bobo!) are failures.  They "try" things and don't actually persue them.  When things go wrong they blame others, instead of looking in the mirror and taking fault.

Maybe you should stick to counting sheep!
