I was given a basic free life insurrance policy from Scotia a number of years ago cuz i was a loyal customer. I was originaly told that i would have it as long as i stayed with them, then all of a sudden one day i recieved a letter stating that as of a past dated my policy was cancelled & no i haven't even closed the account even to this date. But they keep calling to try to sell me a policy even though i have told them once before that i wasn't interested. It is a cell phone number that they keep calling me on, i hate telemarketers calling & pestering me on my cell!

Pushy. Twice I said I didn't want it, and she kept talking at me. Eventually just hung up on her.

Woman calling was rude, wanted to know who I was without telling me what she was calling about, had to ask her to put me in the do not call list 5 times and tell her I would phone the crtc 3 times before she would stop asking who I am first, don't call my f*cking number and ask who I am you are calling me!!

I just read other messages and noticed the reference to Bank of Nova Scotia! I got a call from BNS, Tuesday June 21st and the caller, Claudette, said it was URGENT but I never connected it to these other nuisance calls until I perused this link. She called from a 1-888# and said she was calling customers to advise them that a couple of CDs had gone missing within the Bank on Monday, May 9th and are still missing. The names of customers and their account numbers on ON THOSE CDs. Now I am really worried seeing the number of people that have been called. and I'm hoping that I didn't divulge anything that would help crooks. I hope other people will post so we can determine if this is legitimate or cons. If the latter, we need to advise the local police fraud squad - if they have such a thing - to investigate or hopefully advise us.

I got a call a 7h45 pm. Was not home but my mom was. She answered and the told her that it was Scotia Bank and it was VERY URGENT. Call back Customers Services and they do not have any note in my file that they are trying to reach me!!!

This number is probably calling because you have had a loan or mortgage that is in default...calls all the time and am behind a payment on a mortgage with them...
