Calling second time this week, really annoying. Missed the first call but no voice mail left. Answered the second one and no one answered.

Did not answer, they left no message.

I received beep from this number at an inappropriate time of the day. Do they want me to call the back??? That would be the last thing I would do!How can we stop these spammers?? I registered my number to "do not call"list but I still receive lots of calls from telemarketers.What' to be do to make them stop? Don't they realize that in 2015 no one believes and does business with "phantom" companies???

There's your problem or at least, part of it... you registered your number on the DNC list.Firstly, the list is only enforceable by the CRTC in Canada with Canadian based calls.Secondly, in order to make the list work, the numbers are supplied to the telemarketers so they can comply with "not calling" the numbers on the list. Meaning.. your number is now "public".It's very easy to obtain that DNC list from a telemarker in Canada... offer up money to get it... and presto, there's a whole guaranteed "good" numbers to call from outside of Canada.That's not to mention spoofing and auto-dialers...Don't EVER put your number on a list on any type or you WILL get called.Auto-dialer... you might get called...it's hot and miss.You can also use a service to create a "white list" of numbers you will accept calls from...easier than creating a "black list"...although for example, if you know no one in area code 416, you could block the area code.It's all just a pain...You could just turn off the ringer during specific hours or let everything go to voice mail - now that's screening your calls.  !!!Good luck!
