I was away for 2 weeks and came home to 5 messages from this guy saying there was a law suit against my name and being sued for tax evasion and tax fraud. So glad that others are alerting each other of what is being done. I pity the elderly who may get caught up in this scam .

I got a call (a message) yesterday from a different 613 number and also a different south Asian male's voice, but the same idiotic spiel about needing to call them back to avoid going to jail. And yet again, when I called the number, all I got was a busy signal.

Had a message on our answering machine when I got home from work today.They were from CRA (used the  initials) and that we were going to be arrested for tax evasion. Didn't give a name to tell us who was going to be arrested!! And to phone them immediately to get more details and once again mentioned being arrested and going to jail.Person also had an accent.

I too have received the threatening call from an idiot that said they were from CRA... Come get us [***]

It's "Revenue Canada." You owe them money and you will go to jail unless you phone them back and make arrangements to pay them by debit to your bank account. The amount will always be less than $1000.. to make it look the straight goods.Problem is these guys are total dirtbag scammers and they have already been denounced in the press/TV. Don't even talk to them.Just hang up and forget about it unless you enjoy south Asian accents telling you to "have a good day." Don't you love the irony?

It's absolutely nothing but a total scam - and a very stupid one at that. I'm sure the tax people would be very interested to know what I've been evading as it would certainly come as news to them. This is just some idiotic outfit with apparently nothing better to do than make these nuisance calls - twice today so far. And again, when I called back - busy.
