Also received a call from this number sat afternoon.  It did have a long distance ring and I did not answer it. The number shown on the pop up was +507 (613) 722-1226 .  Except for the 507 this would be a local call to me in Ottawa.

Somebody with an Indian accent calls up asking for the "owner of the house"... when you ask them whether this is a solicitation call, they'll curse at you in Punjabi and hang up. (lol)

I dialled the number back and it is being spoofed - the poor company being spoofed is getting a slew of calls by angry call recipients!

i got a call from this number  so i looked it up and its a heating place in ottawa.what i dont get is why are they calling on a tuesday night at 8:30 eastern?and why me, i live 2 hours away and i have never done business with them (i rent).

Got the same call. Apparently someone's highjacked Top Hat's number and is calling tons of people, either refusing to speak or being rude. A police report has been filed. Strange that it rings as a long-distance number, but shows as a local Ottawa number. Google the number again, and add "police report" to your search.

This is a scam!  got a call Sunday at 4pm.
