and they took my number off the list. This is precisely why you should never give charities personal information.

The number listed is an automated dialer for Canadian Diabetes Association Clotheline Program, based in Ottawa, Ontario. Our office serves the Ottawa region and Upper Ottawa valley. We are not soliciting money, nor will we accept any if you offer to give a cash donation. Our staff are asking for any used clothing you may have. I suspect that if you have not given a donation in the past, the person who had your number before you may have given us a donation.
If you receive a call from this number, and wish to be removed from our call list, please ask to be removed, and your phone number will be immediately stricken from our records.
My apologies if our call has offended or annoyed you in any way. it was certainly not our intention.

Mr. SmithYour reply was from Feb 2008....why is this still happening. I've requested by email and phone msgs to have my number removed from your calling list but still they call. WHY. This is a bad way of running your business. Trust me when I have clothes to donate I would probably give it to a company that doesn't peeve me off after several attempts to have it stopped. You may want to reconsider your work ethics.
So-ooo Frustrated
Please STOP calling!!! Although I have donated to CDA in the past this is not the way to maintain my business!! I will re-direct my charitable clothes etc to someone else now as I am so frustrated with all these dead calls!

Just got a call again, I listened in silence; its for the Canadian Diabetes Association, letting us know that they will be 'in our area' to pick up any unwanted clothing....
