They just called me at work - a government phone number, no less - to offer me debt reduction help.... um... I'm pretty sure you're not authorized to phone Gov't of Canada phone numbers!

Just called my cell.  I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer.  They left a voicemail, which started about halfway through their recording re: debt consolidation.  The message instructed to press one to take advantage of their offer, or press two to be removed from their calling list.  I obviously didn't do either, since it was a voicemail, but I wouldn't have done it even if I had been live on the phone.

Jan 9 2012 - I’m a  Federal government employee. Just received a call from that number on my office phone. Wondering how they got my number? I never give out my office number or use it for personal business. Curiouser, curiouser.

debt reduction service - dont waste your time answering

Sounds like a company trying to offer debt counseling.

Maybe your 15 year old shouldn't have her phone on during class!
