keep getting debt recuction soliciting calls from this number and also from (613) 555-8161.  Can't seem to get ride of them nor can I get through to the number if I try calling.  Who are these people?

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone, which is not listed.  I only have it for limited personal use, so did not answer as I did not recognize the Ontario number and I live on the prairies.  I tried to call it back from my home phone number to see who answered, but got the operator's message saying,
"There is trouble completing your call as dialed.  Please try again or contact your operator."  I tried again and got the same recording.  It sure is annoying to constantly be disturbed by unwanted contacts...

robot, your guess isn't necessarily accurate, you should be mindful of making generalizations.  )r maybe you work for a debt collection agency that sells info to 3rd party advertisers.   Who knows...  in either case, you'd be wrong to make such assertions.Robocalls are a fact of life these days, and the companies using them use telecommunications tricks to mask their true numbers behind an outgoing Centrex line.     You can subscribe to the callblocking service to rid yoruself of such annoyances.  Or, you can invest in some new handsets that will allow you to use built-in software that will not allow incoming unknown numbers to reach you if they show up with anything other than a name instead of "unknown name' or "unknown number" or some name that matches their number. As for you, Robot, you seem to have had some experience with this debt matter maybe yoru own experience was that yoru debt collectors did the same to you.  Just don't generalize.

I don't want to start a rumor....but someone suggest it's related to TD Canada Trust....
some other numbers to watch out for....They all start calling people in March....
