I received a message from this number today, I answred and it was Scotia Bank saying that I have something wrong with my account... So, I guess this number belongs to them.

I got a call at 2:33PM did not leave a message and out of service when i called back, could this be Skypee???

Just to let you all know, this number is a PRE-PAID CALLING CARD.  When someone buys a pre-paid calling card and makes a call it goes through local routing; the local routing uses one way a line as it's not actually an active number, this is why you can't call back and is the reason why it says the number is not in service...because it's not.  As far as the line being dead on the other line, this may be to poor connection on the other end (a cel phone user perhaps).  So folks don't fret next time this number calls you, it's probably just the mother of the illegitimate child you fathered while on spring break trying to collect some child support.  Cherish these moments, having children can be a wonderful experience! ;)

It's probably a spamer's dialer checking to see if numbers are in service. It could be faking the "not in service" message by playing back to you the same message your carrier uses.

Definitely not a collection agency because I don't owe money. 3 Calls received from that number over the weekend and I sent them all to VM but no message was left.

I receive calls from this number at my work place almost everyday. When I answer nobody speaks. and after a few second of silence the line gets disconnected. When I call back it plays " The number you've reached is not in service - this is s recording". I wonder how this type of automated calls pass through our exchange and reach my extention. Ususally, if someone wants to reach me at work he has to dial the exchange and then dial an extension. Is it possible to follow these steps through automated process?By the way, I don't owe money to anyone and I don't use Fido or Rogers service. But the skype incoming number is generally ends with 0000. I've a friend who calls me regularly from Skype and I see different numbers all ends with 0000.Does anyone have any clue about this spammer?
