I got a call from this number 2 times in 2 day. I called rogers and asked how this was possible the guy told me it was a collection agency. this freaked me out because i don't owe anyone money (i hope) I never got a fax sound but im wondering if maybe there is a scam going on somehow tided to this number.

Caller from (613) 232-7437 said they were from OnSat calling on behalf of Bell Satellite, but then preceded to ask me if I had cable Tv or Bell Satellite..  I said, well if you are calling here on their behalf then shouldn't you know !!  I was then asked if I knew anyone, friends or family to refer to Bells services.  I said "NO", then they hung up...Scam artists!!

its a Skype number. i get a lot of Skype calls from people, and this number shows up so often i just saved it as Skype in my phone. I could be anyone trying to use VOIP, because when they call from the internet it has to go through a local number so it is given one that is not assigned, i think. either way, i get Skype calls from this number along with a few other 613 numbers, as well as other random numbers like 0000123456, haha.

Do u guys deal with fido? I believe this number belongs to them, as i recieved a call from this number and it was a Fido supervisor...

When people use online services to such as Skype to make phone calls, the call goes through local telephone line in the recipient's area.  This is the number for one of the lines that Skype uses.  Thus different companies (especially if they were calling from abroad and didn't want to pay the long distance fee) or individual people all go through the same phone number.

I use Skype and this is the number that the phone calls come through as when I dial a number in Ottawa. It's a number that Rogers/Fido uses to route local calls made by the internet.
