I just got a dead air call from them at 2:30pm 5 November 2007

I am a receptionist at a buisness and they constantly call daily. Everytime I get a call from a telemarketer I wait until they answer so I can tell them to take our number off of their calling list. However, they consistently hang up promply after I answer, leaving me with a dial tone. So Mark you are inaccurate to say that people are not patient.I am extremely irritated with these phone calls and they disrupt my busy workday!

Dead air, called the number back and learned it was the Conservative Party of Canada.

As far as I know, it's illegal to use auto-dialers in Canada. It's also illegal to call people who are on the laughable DNC list. Thanks Conservative party...you've given us the two most expensive, useless jokes of legislation...the gun control law (criminals don't register their guns) and the Do Not Call list (low-life telemarketers purchase it as a treasure trove of confirmed active phone numbers.) Welcome to the inaction and inept style of Canadian legislators and their watchdog "enforcers" like the CRTC. I suspect this phone number is actually a telemarketer operating out of the US and spoofing the number. Report it to your phone company.

I got this caller and the caller ID said the number with quotation marks and without the 1 at the begining all try asked for is my Dad.  then I checked on Canada 411 and they couldn't identify the phone number so I check the area codes and 613 is from somewhere in Ontario
