Hi, I've been receiving a large volume of calls from

1-(613) 219-1293

Apparently these are calls from the conservative party of Canada requesting money however these are daily calls and the it is always dead air.



I do not wish to provide all of my information in this form, so please contact me at the listed e-mail



Is this number legit or not?

If it is a legit number, what will be done to deal with it?

if it is not legit, what can be done to deal with it?

You did not answer my question:

Is 1-613-219-1293 a valid phone number used by the conservative party of Canada?

If so, why have I been receiving on average one or more calls per day from this number, all of the calls being dead air? (I pick up but the other end is silent)

Please ANSWER the first question.
I, and many other Canadians who have supported the conservative party, would like to know if this is truly from the conservative party of Canada's fund-raising campaign.

If these calls are not legit, then something should be done to deal with this phone spam as it tarnishes the conservative party's reputation(this includes letting us know that these calls do not originate from the conservative party.)

If these calls are legit, then something should be done about it as Canadians who support the conservative party do NOT wish to be spammed with daily dead-air calls.

I am not the only one receiving dead-air calls from this number.


Please ANSWER the questions.



PS. Don't 'happily' remove me from your call list as I do wish to support the conservative party, but please do answer the questions.

Yes that phone number is legitimate. Unfortunately I cannot answer any further questions without your name and home phone number. Without that information it would be pure speculation as to why you are receiving so many calls. Thank you for contacting us.

The most interesting thing about these crooks is the caller ID NAME appearing in quotes "(613) 219-1293". Wonder how they do that?

I just got a dead air call from them at 2:30pm 5 November 2007

They just don't stop calling me last days, but I don't answer when I see a phone number I don't know. No messages left. But I'm wondering how did they get my number, because it supposed to be confidential.

I got this caller and the caller ID said the number with quotation marks and without the 1 at the begining all try asked for is my Dad.  then I checked on Canada 411 and they couldn't identify the phone number so I check the area codes and 613 is from somewhere in Ontario
