Yet another violator of the Do-Not-Call list. Had them already marked-down on my own Do-Not-Pick-Up-The-Phone-List, which I keep next to my phone (with 51 numbers in two months). One of these days the list will go to the CRTC for punitive action.

They WASTE people's time with those bullsh*t calls......

I received several calls from that number. After I found that the area code 604 corresponds to the Vancouver area, I decided to call back. It was a long distance call for me, since I am from Quebec. Their system answers and offers us to have our number removed from the list. Listen carefully and enter your phone number. I did this. It takes 2 business days for it to be effective. Since I just did it, I don't yet know wether it might finally take longer. I hope not!...

Like many people wrote, they never leave a message and even if I answered (for I did, once, hoping to ask that my name be removed from their list), nobody answers. I suppose it takes several seconds for their system of automatic calls to transmit the signal that somebody answered, after what a person finally speaks to you. Therefore, we hang up before anybody speaks to us. As far as I am concerned, since I never spoke to anyone, I don't know wether they are courteous or not... But I sure will be glad when they stop calling!!!...

I've been called two days in a row so far on my cell (which is on the Do-Not-Call list). I did not answer and no one left a message.

Rec'd call a few minutes ago.  I said hello and then the caller started speaking in Mandarin.  I listened for about 10 seconds, not sure if it was a recording, and finally said 'hello? excuse me'.  The caller then spoke in very broken english and said he was conducting some sort of survey and if I had time to take it.  I informed him I did not, and hung up.

I get calls from this tel# as well. If no name on call display I don't answer.
By the way. The telephone companies are NOT allowed to be the Phone Police.
Tough luck.
Get call screen or a fax machine or something.

I did a reverse look up on the number and found out it was a telemarketer or someone wanting to do a poll.Strategic Communications (polling)

i received a call today (they did not leave a message) - i checked the area code and it said that it is from BC.  i am from quebec. - i saw here that they could be telemarketers and it makes sense to me so i will not answer them if they call another time.  unfortunately, do not have enough time for polls :(
