This is a great service/tool to use to prevent others from falling victim to these Scammers. Everybody keep up the good work and post as much information as possible. This is the way we can protect each other.PS: Dont believe what they tell you, a surveyor, political party, charity... if they ask for any personal info they are really Scammers in the background. Those entities are exempt from DNC list so the Scammers use to hide their true identity.

same here, i've gotten at least 5 calls today from this number.. has anyone found out where it's traced back to? This is ridiculous

Same number, did some research:Dead Air Calls"The phone is ringing but no one is there when I answer".Your phone may have a technical problem but you may also be receiving calls from an automatic dialer that logs the time the phone is answered.  A telemarketer uses the information to indicate when a person will be at your number to answer the phone.http://www.phonebusters.com/english/recognizeit_deadair.html

This number appears on our call display whenever anyone from the US calls us.  It seems that Telus caller i.d. isn't capable of letting us know what the actual number is....so it displays this one.

That is exactly what it is..a port number of somesort.

An addendum to my above posting for others to heed just in case.
Here is how the ad reads as from the posting on Craigslist in Vancouver BC. I have flagged the posting as spam and suppose that it will be removed soon enough, but I suspect it'll pop up again somewhere as scammers tend to be rather tenacious...
