We camped at Thurston Meadows campsite for 1 night (Sept.8,2012) and found the camp hosts to be rude and unreasonable. We met friends there and they were in spot 39. We reigsitered and were told to park in any vacant spot. We parked in the one next to them but then the lady host caming running over and told us we could not camp there as it was half of a double site. We moved to another site which was very inconvenient for us as we cooked and ate together with our friends, but if that was the rule then that was the way it had to be. Now we checked in just after 3:00 on a sat afternoon in Sept. There was still 2 or 3 double sites that were empty as well as several single sites. A few hours later a small motorhome came in and park on one side of a different double site, with no one on the other side. My friend and I went to ask one couple that seem to be hosts, why that guy was allowed to park in that double site but we weren't. We were told it was the other lady who had said so so we would have to talk to her, but don't go now as they are eating they dinner. A little while later the man host came around so we asked him why and he told us that it was basically none of our business and what was the problem we were lucky that we got any sight. After we thought he had left my friend and I discussed how stupid that answer was, and then he came out from behind their 5th wheel, where he had been eavedropping and continued to argue with us. We just wanted to know why that rule only seemed to apply to us but no one was able to tell us.
