Someone with an 'Unavailable Name & Number' keeps calling me, saying they are from Bell/Solo mobility and that my number has been randomly chosen to receive a promotional rate and a free phone. They have called me 38 times this week. I have called Bell directly and asked to be put on their DNCL, they said that it would take up to 30 days to take effect, but if they called again if I told them 'stop calling me, put me on your do not call list' then they HAD to. I did this, at least 5 times, but they kept calling. I have no idea what else to do, I even have unknown numbers blocked on my phone, but this one still gets through!

I just got them same call....Gave fake info the whole call....he knew my address and girlfriends last name....when he asked for my DL number i told him id call him back.....then when i did call him back someone actually answered and was going to tranfer the call to him....I dont think it was someone from Bell,,,it was prob just another scam!!!

I got the same phone call Feb 13 2011  They talked me into getting a cell phone and asked for my DL Foolishly I gave it to them.  When I called to cancel I kept getting a busy signal.  He gave me his name as Peter Williams @1348C Marine Drive West Vancouver V7L 1B5 When I called later that evening someone answered and said there was no one there by that name and wouldnt give me his name.I called eqifax and trans union to flag my credit bureau report in case they tried to use my info for credit purposesAnything that sounds too good to be true  really is

Huh, I took a call today from supposedly Bell/Solo mobility and silly me I gave them my birth date and D.L., BUT asked for a number to call back to cancel on their offer of a free cell with 150 min. daytime for $30 per month and the guy gave me the number (604) 755-3528.  I tried and tried to call back to cancel but with only a busy signal.  Anyway, I thought I'd better contact my credit card company and tell them this possible identity fraud and they said with my D.L. and address/phone, birth date into that the defrauders could not go very far with that info.  That was good news!
