I got a call from this no., but no answer. I doubted that this phone call is related to another call which was blocked the caller ID and said you had won a big prize, then ask some personal information for receiving the prize.

Its used by people calling from Ipod touches I know cuz when my brother-in-law phones from it that shows up. So you have random people who can call from the IPod touch. if you phone the police they can get permission to find out from the company what the IP address connecting to it is. the problem is that you can use any wireless internet that isnt password protected. So I could go outside starbucks, phone you with my ipod touch (not I-phone) and harass you. lovely isn't it.

Just to clarify, anyone who calls a metro vancouver number using the Ipod touch (if they use the free application on the ipod touch) will be routed through this number. Like the guy above me said its voip caller id. this number isn't a person, its just a service that connects an internet connection to a phone (as in your telephone when they call).

Called me on a Saturday evening and left a message which said, "Hey John Fried, I'm fingering my a**hole right now." Disturbing.

I think it is a routing number in Metro Vancouver, BC for overseas calls. I just received a genuine call from my friend's land line in El Salvador, Central America to my cell phone in Vancouver and it showed (604) 628-2598.

I got a call today, March 16, 2009, around 5:15 pm.  It was a lady that asked me if I knew Chinese in Mandarine.  It really irritated me because when I first picked up she kept on saying hello to me and I already said hello back...  So I didn't know what she wanted until she finally spoke Chinese. I told her sorry you got the wrong number and she said sorry and hung up.  No idea what that was about. Probably a telemarketer
