Both myself and my husband own vehicles which the warranties were up on for a few years already.  Is there anything that can be done to stop these people from calling?  I tried to call back but it just rang.  No one answered, not even a machine.  I find it insulting that they think we are that freakin stupid!  Are there actually people that fall for this?

They called my work number as well...that was my first clue that it was a scam since it's a new number and it's been a while since my warranty expired anyway.  There was an option at the end of the recording to "press 2 to be removed from the follow-up call list".  I pressed 2 and got disconnected.  Hopefully they won't call back!

Called me on my work cell phone.  Why isn't it illegal to make this type of call to a cell number?  Would a class action law suit be possible to recover minute charges?

It's a scam. They called me about a "final warning for auto warranty" and I don't even own a vehicle...

Just got this call on a cell phone for which no one has the number - auto warranty. When I tried to inquire for what car it was and the number they wanted so I could be removed, the broad hung up.

These "scammers" are truly BRILLIANT !!! ... They call my cell phone and waste my time ...after I told them to quit calling my number and "take me off their list" .... I guess I should know if my warranty is up ... or if I need an extended warranty ... I WORK FOR A FRANCHISED CAR DEALERSHIP !!! Maybe somebody at the BC Motor Dealers Association should "pry theie a$$e$ "out of their office chairs and talk to the RCMP ... and save us all some air time ... etc.
