This is a scam that was just tried twice on a relative of mine. To take advantage of the elderly is one of the worst things. Many of these people served this country at the risk of their own lives to help us feel safe and now with acts like this, they can't even feel safe in their own home!

Just received a call from this number with some man saying "Hello Grandma"...I do not have any grandsons the age of this man.  He knew my name...This is not good.

We applied for a loan online under Coast To Coast Lender, who claims to have an office in ON. Then we got a call from this number LIBERTY FINANCIAL CORPORATION in Missouri by the name DAVID CHAMBERS. We were thinking that it could be the same company. Anyhow, they said that we qualified for a big loan and all we have to do is to pay for the insurance. People are smarter now!  We told him that it it ILLEGAL to pay upfront fees for loan in Canada. He was even telling us that they're BBB accredited, which they're not. We reported them to RCMP Anti-Fraud. I hope these crooks will get caught. They also use this number to call them back: +1 800-410-0490.

I called the Missouri number, which I googled, nobody was answering.

I hope to flag their company names and phone numbers on google so they won't victimize anybody.

Unknown caller asked for me by name. ?When I told him I was the person and asked him what he wanted, he asked me if he had awakened me and then said the RCMP wanted to talk to me.  I remarked fine, put them on the line, at which point he hung up.

My Aunt In Vancouveer received a call this week from this number.  Caller said he was her Grandson and needed $4,000.   Lucky my Aunt was on the ball and said she would call him back and she called the Vancouver Police instead.
