This is a legitimate number for LifeScan in Burnaby, B.C. I had called LifeScan to ask if my meter could be recalibrated or needed to be replaced. The gentleman I had spoken with called me back a few minutes later because he forgot to ask me a question about my test strips. Unfortunately fraudsters often 'spoof' numbers when they are calling, in other words, the number you see on your call display isn't the real number the fraudsters are calling from. I once got a call from my own number, and everyone in my neighbourhood got the same scam call using my number. It's a real pain.

I also received the same message about the replacement of my mother's previous glucose meter, and they need to confirm the serial number of meter. Is it spam?
