So i decided to try and send a text message to tell them to stop calling my number and I got a message in return that states "Your message will be sent to landline phone number (519) 858-1931. Pour envoyer message en francais au 519-858-1931, repondez F a ce message."The french part says that 'if you would like to send the message in french, respond with the letter F to the message.'

The London Police Fraud Unit would like to warn citizens about someone that is soliciting information over the telephone. The suspects are telling people that they are owed money by a utility company and then they are requesting the victim's bank account information.

These phone calls have been traced back to phone number (519) 858-1931. Due to phone number portability issues this phone number cannot be traced to the suspects nor can it be placed out of order.

You are reminded not to give out any personal information over the phone unless you are sure that you are speaking with a trusted source.

Anyone who may have information in relation to this scam, or the person or people associated to this phone number, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or the London Police Service at 661-5670.

I just had three calls from this number with dead air each time after saying hello

When the National do not call agency receive enough complaints something will be done eventually so don't hesitate to report it.

They called this evening and stated I had won and trip...I laughed and sure enough they wanted a credit card number to cover a one time fee of $500. I asked her to read my visa number to me first and of course she wouldn't she wanted me to read it to her and verify she had the right information. Thank god I was smart enough to realize this was not right. BE AWARE!!!

Several calls from this number lately, 3 today. Usually there is silence.
