I am unlisted too and they asked for me by name.  Someone must have sold them my info

called April 2013Askered for my wife by her full name and we are unlisted as well.  Lady on the other end was somewhat OK to talk to. She repeatedly asked for my wife. I asked her severe times  who she worked for, She said a marketing company. twice I asked for who she represented and she said she was not allowed to tell me.

Well, not so much in secrecy any more. :(I used to wonder how these spammy companies got my unlisted number, too, but I've since learned that computers spit out lists of numbers and companies buy them, so having an unlisted number really isn't a defence against them.I finally decided to get call display on my phone and now I don't answer unless I recognize the number. If someone wants to talk to me, they'll leave a voice mail. Otherwise ... too bad. The call display is really worth the cost.
