Telemarket call???

I was walking on the main road to work and got a call. I have family who lives out that way so I answered it despite the logn distance charges. I couldn't hear anything but press 1, so I did. When it said I was being transferred, I hung up.

Got the same call, but from (403) 709-8686.When I first picked  up an automated message claiming to be from Air Canada asked me to push 1 if I wanted to recieive 50 000 bonus Aeroplan points. When I pushed 1, I was transferred to the guy from cancuncalling.com.

Just received the call... 3:30pm 8/05/2010.  Didn't answer as long distance for me.  No voicemail left.  Only thing I can think of is I entered a BELL contest to win a cell phone last week and supplied my only tel.#, my cell.  Dammit!  The one and only time I have provided my tel #!!!

Yes, Could you post what kind of experience you had on your vacation. I have paid for a trip, not yet received my package or booked my dates. I look forward to hearing about your trip. I hope it is great!!

First I was told by automated voice that I had won 100,000 air miles!  Wow!
Then transferred to a fast-talking salesman who identified himself as just "Mike", from what sounded like "Sunset Group", who told me about two vacations I could get for just $698 US.  He said it was a $3,298 US value package for just $698 US.  Said the two holidays had to be taken within 2.5 years and were for 2 adults and two kids.  One vacation in Cancun, Mexico, (6 days, 5 nights), the other in Orlando, Florida, (5 days).  He invited me to look at www.cancuncalling.com but said I could not access the offer on line, IT HAD TO BE DONE BY THE END OF THE PHONE CALL!  He asked what credit card I had and that's when I decided to terminate the conversation.  Scam!
