a recording from Bell saying I had won 3000$ travel dollars. Bull! I hung up as they were calling my cell!Didn't say if it was Bell Canada, Bell Mobility, Bell Sympatico...

I received a telephone call from (519) 516-9898 at 12:12 pm today.  The person who called was a male, since I did not pick up, the call was forwarded to voice mail.  The person just said "Hello" and then paused and hung up.  I HATE getting these calls with a passion.  Very annoying.

'illegal' call. I deny any business and sale purposed for this type of call. It is phone abuse. My phone is my personal property by constitution. Logic speak, if you want to market your business, no.1 respact my personal property. Otherewise, I called it robbery. Telemarketing by recording message is 0 profit for you.

this is reply i got from bell canada pls read it Thank you for your letter regarding a caller representing themselves as Bell Canada.This was not a call from Bell.Many cellular customers from various companies are being called and told that very same thing.When you press ?1? to collect the travel dollars ?you won?, it connects you to a person who then attempts to extract personal information from you.It is just another form of social engineering that the criminal world has come up with.The best advice I can give is to do exactly what you did?hang up.We take this very seriously and our Corporate Security group is currently investigating the situation. received a call supposedly from bell canada it even came up on call display as bell canada...They told me that my new account had been cancelled and that if I wanted it reconnected I would have to give them information. They asked for my SIN, credit card #, passport # and spelling of my name. I contacted Bell they had no record of any bell employee making such a call to me. Bell told me that it must have been a scam......

Also on August 4, 2010.  On my cell phone, saying I won $3,000 in points/rewards/etc.
