Received a call from this number today (519) 516-9898. Missed it cause I stepped out of the office. It was a call to my cell phone in Toronto.
No idea what it's about, no voicemail left.

Automated call telling me I'd won something. I hung up as soon as I heard the automated voice. Tried calling back and the number is "not in service", so it's probably a spoofed number?
You know... I started getting these about a year and a half ago when I was looking for a new job. I'm suspicious that someone got a hold of my resume, or one of the agencies I applied to was really bogus.

this is reply i got from bell canada pls read it Thank you for your letter regarding a caller representing themselves as Bell Canada.
This was not a call from Bell.
Many cellular customers from various companies are being called and told that very same thing.
When you press “1” to collect the travel dollars “you won”, it connects you to a person who then attempts to extract personal information from you.
It is just another form of social engineering that the criminal world has come up with.
The best advice I can give is to do exactly what you did…hang up.
We take this very seriously and our Corporate Security group is currently investigating the situation.

i received a call from (519) 516-9898 answered and was informed about the 2 vacations i won. one to Disney world and the other to Cancun. they proceeded to direct me to a website www.cancuncalling.com. all i had to do was pay $399 per vacation so a total of $698 on a visa card. this is clearly a phishing scam looking for c/c info.
