It happens when you log on to the Globe and Mail website. I'm American, and never got a single Canadian call until a few days after I started reading the Globe and Mail.  I can't register my number with the Canadian DNC list, so I guess I'm screwed. Meanwhile, tell your friends not to read the Globe and Mail.

this number called about 3 times last night and 4 more times so far today. I am going to pick up the call and tell them where to go

The firm is TNS, which apparently is a National Research Firm. The young lady that I spoke with name is Victoria McLeod. She is a student and does this part time. She is currently in school enrolled in Political Science and one day hopes to become the Prime Minister. She supports the Green Party.

I loathe telemarketers and survey establishments.

I have come to the conclusion they will not leave us alone. We might as well ask them an exhorborant amount of questions and them tell them:

1) We are either nor interested in whatever they are selling.
  or
2) We don't answer surveys.

Just rang on my phone in BC in the early evening.  Didn't answer.  Left an empty message.  Thanks.  I went to school once in that area code, but none of the people I knew are still there.  Was listening to a hockey game via 630CHED at the time, with that adenoidal Telus Beaver with infected nasal polyps.  Not sure which party I'd use as the ram, and which as the receptacle.

Called my wife , were Rude ,looking forward to returning the favor .
