"DO NOT CALL" list - how many of us signed up for this and it turned out to be a BIG JOKE. Same calls for "firefighters burn unit, Kids safety, and it goes on and on....Thanks for caller ID display. But it still disrupts our business hours to no end.

This "unknown name" number has called me several times over the past couple of days and at different times. I finally called the number back today and got some answering message saying it was a charity call and asked what state I was calling from?????? I thought this was a Canadian number? After reading the comments here, I will continue to not answer the phone when this number shows up on call display. If they catch me on a bad day, I might just give them a piece of my mind...IF they speak at all according to some of your comments, and demand they take me off their list. Yes, I am on the DO NOT CALL list, but I think charities and political parties are exempt, which is why they are getting away with it.

I'm on the do not call list but I think they are exempt. I have asked them nicely not to call anymore - that actually seemed to make them call more.
I made it ugly for them to call, called them things I wouldn't call a dog - now they call several times a day and hang up if I answer.
