I just got off the phone with this company.  They promise to lower your interest rates from your house mortgage to your highest interest credit cards.  The twist (after being on the phone 45mins). . the one-time fee of $XXX.XX which depends on your overall credit situation. I knew it was too good to be true.  It actually makes sense that the savings would outweigh the fee, but I needed time to process all of the information before I agreed over the phone to pay them a large from my credit card!  I did not let them process the payment, even though they were relentless in trying to get me to accept right away.  I had to be VERY stern with them in the end that I would NOT be authorizing anything until I had a chance to research their service. I said that they're lack of cooperation was turning me against them and that if they didn't accomodate my request, they would definitely not get my business.  When I finally got off of the phone (1 hour later) I called one of my credit card companies right away and told the representative everything.  She said she knew of them and that they are a legitimate company, but has heard that they are quite aggressive.  She said I didn't need to cancel my credit card, but that I should monitor my statements to be on the safe side.  She also said that what most people should do is go right to their card's institution and request a rate reduction directly, hence avoiding the fee altogether, because that's what they're doing on your behalf, but get paid though the fee.  I don't trust this company at all. . . you should not have to argue with a salesperson.  Be assertive and say NO!
