I got the check too, and I called and they "activated it" and then I deposited it.  Once the check cleared I wired money to a given name and address in Atlanta which I later found out with a simple google maps search does not exist.  Once the wire transfer was picked up, the check I deposited was suddenly canceled.  Since it is the weekend, they say they can't access my record further until Monday, so we'll see what happens.

I got one too.  I am going to cash the check first before anything, then try and call tomorrow.

I got mail offer from a supposed Carnival Financial, but why would I get a Canada phone number for a Miami based company?  I have not verified it is a fraud yet, but getting a small check and promise of a bigger one sure smells like one to me.
