He said, "Hi Grandma."  I answered, "Hi."He said "What's you doing?", I said "Not much."  I am clearly NOT a grandma.  Grandpa, maybe, but not a grandma.So, I hung up.

Got a call from from Quebec - said he was my oldest grandson - but my oldest grandson is a girl - said he'd been sick and he needed some money - I told him I didn't have any.  Said he'd call me back.  It's a scam clearly.

this scammer called my mom and said he was her oldest grandson. she does not have one. he callled back and then said he was her nephew. the guy can't even get his story straight. he said his name was dale and to send the money to somebody named Kevin. naturally he would not give a last name.

Just got a call from this number and the guy says...Hello, grandma....I say yes, he keeps talking and I ask who this is...he says, "don't you recognize my voice" so I say NO...and he keeps going saying "it's me grandma".....so I tell him I do NOT have a grandson and he goes "oh, must be wrong number".You think so you MORON!!!  Must be a scam call for sure!!

This guy called saying he was  my granson, that gone to Quebec with friends and they were in a fender bender, with a rental car,and needed money to be bailed out!!!When I told him he didn't sound like my grandson,he told me he had a cold due to the place they were in is very cold....He wanted me to send him $900., thru Western Union.He wanted it to be made payable to,Kevin Casse.He said he didn't want any of the family to know what happened,as he had 2 beers and had a breathalizer test and didn't pass it!!When I told him why did the check had to be made out to  Kevin Casse,he told me that was his friend that was going to bail him out!!He told me he was calling from a phone booth because the authorites took his cellphone and whatever money he had!!!!!He was to call me back  in 3 hrs.to get the tracking confirmation number,which it gave us time to go on the computer to check out this is a scam!!!!!!!
   What a sick jerk to do stuff like this to innocent, retired persons!!!!I see from other replies that his story was similiar to mine.
