I got a call from this number two weeks ago.  It's a collection agency.  They were looking for someone with the same last name as mine.  I didn't give them my name but did tell them I don't know who they're looking for - and I truly don't.  The woman apologized and said she'd update her records.  HOWEVER...2 weeks later...guess what.  They're calling my line again and when you call the number back, you get the same vague message with no name but to leave YOUR name and number.  These debt collectors buy consumer debt then try to locate the person that owes the debt and collect on it.  They comb through the telephone books and 411 directory looking for similar last names.  DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR NAME if you are unsure if you owe the debt.  If you do, they will attach YOUR NAME to the debt and it can ruin your credit.  These companies are not reputable so be very careful with the information you do provide them.

When I returned the call, they asked for my name and number but would not identify who they were. I just hung up.

They called but would not leave message or when trying to call back unable to !!!
