Hi, I checked out Meritus when I was thinking of enrolling and sent out the information to various Universities I have attended in the past. I asked U of T, Ryerson Univerisity and even Richard Ivey school of Business all based in Toronto if I received a degree from Meritus whether they would accept my degree or transfer credits.... They have all checked the courses and the school out and said yes. In addition, Meritus U is a school on the list of institutions eligible for OSAP (Ontario, government student loans).... (Not sure when you checked your information out because when I was able to obtain a loan for OSAP with this school). I also have a good friend who holds a very high position at a large company who is subsidizing her MBA as well as other of their employees degree's at that school...

I understand that the University of Pheonix had 50,000 graduates last year alone. They maybe for profit but at least I dont have to worry about my hard earned tax dollars being to given to them. Unlike public Universities they have been getting funds from the government for decades. As for Meritus University, they offer the same sort of degree program as any other institution in Canada.

With all do respect. Please kindly ask the person to stop calling you. They wont anymore it is not allowed. If you dont answer they just think you work all day and are hoping to catch you on a day off. If your not interested no problem just say so! Tell them " please dont call me anymore" Just say that! Easy Peasy

I live in NB and know that Meritus is a real university. It is a sister college to the University of Pheonix. Yes it is online and it is for-profit but they are accredited byt the province of NB to offer post-secondary education. In Canada, post-secondary education is governed by the institute's host province. So, in case you were wondering, it is a legitimate university. How they are getting unlisted numbers and/or numbers of people who are not requesting information...I do not have that answer.
