Received a call from this number today. I answered the phone, but they hung up immediately. I believe it's the same person/company that had called/hung up on me twice before just a few hours ago. The first two times, however, the caller I.D. only displayed "Private Caller" and "Unknown Caller".

I wonder why anyone would want to waste their precious time like that. Some people are strange.

They do this because our government won't prosecute under the so called "no-call list".  Violators know damn well they're safe with our congress at the helm.  This used to be a hot topic, but of course, AIG, the stock market, Russia, North Korea, the mortgage meltdown, Gazillion dollar budgets have all taken first place over our thoughts.  Good luck getting Congress to move forward on putting teeth into this stupid law because it's likely not going to happen any time soon!

Got a call, left no message, caller ID just displayed the number and "CELL PHONE NB."

Got a call, caller ID says (506) 226-4562 New Brunswick.  Recorded message started with "We have some important news about your credit card ...".  I hung up.  Is there nothing we can do about these nusiance calls?  I'm on both the national no-call list and the no-call list in my state.  There has to be away to stop these SOB's

We have received several calls from this number and other numbers in the sequence 506-226-456x.  When I tried to return the calls, we get a message that the number(s) aren't assigned (in English and French)... message ends with code 25, whatever that means.

Apparently, this area code is for New Brunswick, Canada (GMT -4 hours)... where we don't know anybody (including legit. businesses).

We have stored these numbers and plan to answer, if convenient, just to waste their time, shame the rep. (about his career choice), and cut down on their calling yield... if we have the free time, we're gonna waste theirs.  If you're like-minded, don't forget to ask for a Supervisor/Manager of the rep... give a little extra adrenaline rush for the rep. (just before he/she hangs up)  ;-)
